The Common Core Boot Camp, organized by Copperstone Education, is a premier virtual professional development experience taking place on Saturday, May 16 and May 23, 2026. Bringing together educators and school leaders from across the Middle East, this highly engaging online event is designed to deliver impactful, practical learning in an accessible and flexible format.

Built around a uniquely-formatted dual strand model, the program ensures meaningful outcomes for the entire school community. The Educators Strand equips teachers, teaching assistants, and learning support staff with innovative, classroom-ready strategies to enhance student learning, while the School Leadership Strand empowers principals, superintendents, and department heads with forward-thinking leadership practices to drive sustainable school-wide success.

Misti Dawn Curry

Vice President of Strategic Partnerships, Copperstone Education,

Misti-Dawn Curry serves as Vice President of Strategic Partnerships for Copperstone Education, where she oversees the Achievement Zone targeted school intervention program and supports international schools with the implementation of SAT and ACT Prep programs across the region. With two decades of experience, she combines expertise in curriculum design, professional development, and program training to strengthen teaching and learning in both in-person and virtual settings across the MENA region.

A native of Tuskegee, Alabama, Misti-Dawn earned her B.A. in Elementary Education from Tuskegee University and an M.Ed. in Curriculum and Instruction with a specialization in Literacy from Lesley University. She has served as a K–8 teacher, gifted and intervention educator, undergraduate instructor, and coordinator in both the United States and the United Arab Emirates.

She also holds certifications in Teaching English as a Foreign Language (TEFL) from the University of Toronto and Transformational Leadership from Murdoch University. Guided by her belief that “passion becomes powerful when it is practiced and made practical,” Misti-Dawn is committed to safeguarding student wellbeing and opening future pathways for learners.

Debra Alexander is a trainer and organizational development consultant with over 20 years of experience, as well as an HR advisor and leadership coach. She works with educational institutions and mission-driven nonprofit organizations, focusing on building high-performing organizations and fostering cultures where people thrive. She supports clients in recognizing, protecting, and leveraging key relationships for success. She completed undergraduate studies at Hampton University and holds an MS in Human Resources Development from American University, along with a postgraduate certification from the Gestalt Institute of Cleveland. She also completed doctoral studies at Teachers College, Columbia University and the University of St. Thomas.

Misti Dawn Curry

Vice President of Strategic Partnerships, Copperstone Education

Misti-Dawn Curry serves as Vice President of Strategic Partnerships for Copperstone Education, where she oversees the Achievement Zone targeted school intervention program and supports international schools with the implementation of SAT and ACT Prep programs across the region. With two decades of experience, she combines expertise in curriculum design, professional development, and program training to strengthen teaching and learning in both in-person and virtual settings across the MENA region.

A native of Tuskegee, Alabama, Misti-Dawn earned her B.A. in Elementary Education from Tuskegee University and an M.Ed. in Curriculum and Instruction with a specialization in Literacy from Lesley University. She has served as a K–8 teacher, gifted and intervention educator, undergraduate instructor, and coordinator in both the United States and the United Arab Emirates.

She also holds certifications in Teaching English as a Foreign Language (TEFL) from the University of Toronto and Transformational Leadership from Murdoch University. Guided by her belief that “passion becomes powerful when it is practiced and made practical,” Misti-Dawn is committed to safeguarding student wellbeing and opening future pathways for learners.
